Got in a nice long walk today using the excuse of going to the CVS for a heart med reload.
I have had my back “go out” since I was a teen. For three days, agony, for another two, merely perpetual ache, and then?
Gone.
So today I walked again. “Four miles every other day,” is the rule, and I am behind again. Today’s five with little pain was greet catch-up.
It has happened that way several hundred times probably, and so it feels, in old age, with greater and greater frequency. This pained wrench is caused by exerting strong forces in certain directions above my body’s limits, and since that is something I enjoy, I can predict I will hurt my beleaguered body many times more as I continue to pursue those lovely sensations of speed and action that feel so very grand.
Yes.
What is life for?
