Turning Off Comments For The Moment

First, I have learned that they do not behave as expected. Any comment you make gets dropped down a black hole.

I wanted a human moderated blog. No bots!

I had it set so that once you had your first comment approved, you could thereafter comment. But that appears to be broken. And finally, since I am heading out onto the PCT next week, I will not be able to monitor traffic on this blog, so until I get an additional admin person to keep and eye on things and to chat pleasantly with any genuine human, I can’t keep comments going at all.

I am going to set up a new email account and post a link to it in the footer, but that is done site wide, not in WordPress.
